In fact everyday is a good day when you get a chance to wake up but today was really nice. I went to a Halloween party last night and was actually surprised at how much fun I had. I went as a wench. (No comments from the peanut gallery) The theme was a Halloween casino night. Cute but all I could think about was what the kids were doing. So I come home and Mr. Sowell is not home. No biggie because he often goes out but it is so rare that I don’t have a reason to beef about it. What I think works for us is the lack of drama with the “where are you, what time will you be back” bit. I don’t trip at all and I don’t plan on it in the near future BUT I had to give him the stern eye when he strolled in here this morning. I remember an old fella telling me once, “don’t nothing take all night”. yeah…that. I wouldn’t have cared if he had called. I always assume the worst so I would have preferred a phone call to say he was ok. So I said my peace about it and it was done. On to happy times.
He met us and Uncle Khalil for brunch at the Cheesecake Factory which was delish! It was there that we decided to take the kids to the movies. Kennedy was not with us because quite frankly she needs to spend less time around the boys. She is getting so rough and tough that I need to start finding her a charm school. She even walks with a little gangsta lean. Ugggh! So she went to church with her most favorite person, Nana. I am happy to get her dressed and all dolled up because she has so many cute dresses that are a bit much for daycare. The movie, Law Abiding Citizen was awesome!!! The kids went to see Where The Wild Things Are-but that was short lived. I knew Kayden would not sit through any story line with monsters. Hell, I would have a hard time sitting through it. So Rashid ended up bringing him to our theatre and he fell asleep on my lap. I even tried to get out of my movie because I was a bit scared myself but Uncle Khalil gave me the “are you serious look” so I endured. The movie was eye opening. I no longer want to go to Law School. LOL. We also passed by the Willow Grove Air Force Base-we will have to go back to get more pics but we snagged a cool helicopter.
I have not been to the movies in a long time but I think we will be doing more Sunday outings like today’s. Enjoy the pics. Oh and if my kids look greasy, it’s because they are. I would much rather grease than ash. I will be posting more often since I miss it so much. This week we will be talking interior decorating because the master bath is getting remodeled. Tune in!
