It seems lately I have been seeing that word everywhere…service. And it really has been bothering me because I do not feel like I am doing enough. I singlehandedly contribute to most of the country’s waste and I want to serve and do something about that. Within the last week, I have been tweeting and emailing about this new twist I want my blog to take. I was thinking about what my purpose in life should be and I truly do get a great deal of joy from helping others out. With the economy in shambles and people trying to do different things to stay afloat, I always hear stories and say to myself, how can I help out? Mr. Sowell is always talking about all the ish I have in the house and why don’t I do something with it. So then it came to me, like an epiphany (ok I will stop now before this turns into a Chrisette song LOL) but seriously, I want to start a freecycle/pay it forward program on my blog. The twist is that before you can get the item, you have to pay something forward somehow. This will be a work in progress and we will make changes a long the way but it requires the community to participate. Let me know your thoughts on this new twist. Items being given away will be on the upper right side and will be up there for a week. I am hoping to start a small mini movement here and if done properly it could be a great thing. I have a ton of stuff so let’s get moving. I will pay for shipping for the winners but you need to leave comments as to why you think you should have it and what you are going to do (in a pay it forward kind of way) to get it.
